Tucker Mark {Magee Delivery Pittsburgh Newborn Photographers}

Tucker came into the world one day shy of “full term” and ended up having to spend a few days in the NICU at Magee for labored breathing and a little infection. I couldn’t image what he would have weighed had he went 40 weeks; when he was born he was 8lbs, 8 oz! Of course, not having your new baby by your side and in your hospital room, plus the stress any parent feels if your little one has to go to the NICU, made for some improvising for the typical “birth” photography experience. I was there that day to capture the waiting family and the joy they had when they knew everyone was ok after a c-section. I then went back a few days later when emotions stabilized and we headed down to see Tucker in his warm and cozy NICU environment. The best part of being there was during the weighing, the nurse let Nataly and Ben hold Tucker for a few minutes; the first time since he was born! It was super emotional, and we all walked away with tear stained cheeks.

Thankfully a handful of days later Tucker got the go ahead to be discharged and he came to see me (with his big bro Trent) and rocked his outdoor newborn session!
